"Structure Fire" in the 44 Box
By: Photographer Eugene Messick,
Date: July 23, 2007
At about 1845 hours on Sunday, July 22, Stations 40, 60 and 70 were alerted for what was termed a "structure fire" off of Pot Pie Road in Wittman. As it turned out, first on the scene Chief 40 (401) determined that the fire was a large pile of debris which appeared to be what was left of a house that had been torn down. Reports on the scene indicated that "a naked man on a bicycle" was seen leaving the fire area!
Easton units, with the exception of Tanker 61, were returned to service and units from St. Michaels and Tilghman handled the situation.
Chief Watts placed the situation under control at about 2007.
Units: Engines 45, 46, and 77, Truck 40, Tankers 44, 61 and 74
Mutual Aid: Paramedic 94, Talbot Sheriff's Office
